I’ve been somewhat obsessed with Matcha powder. I picked up a can of Culinary Matcha by Matcha Love a few months ago, at Meijer, and I never looked back. I made cookies, I add it to my smoothies, and I have other visions for it. So stay tuned.
Here’s a recipe I’ve beed using for my matcha lattes. I bough a manual frother for this. It’s not the same when it’s not frothed.
Matcha Tea Latte
1/2 cup hot water
1/2 cup hot milk/ coconut milk/almond milk
1 teaspoon of Matcha powder
1-2 tablespoons of honey
Heat the water and the milk (whichever milk you prefer) until nice and hot.
In a small bowl, add the matcha powder. Add a teaspoon at a time of hot water and mix the Matcha until it’s a thick paste. Keep adding water by the teaspoon and mix until nice and smooth. You can use a teaspoon or a whisk for this.
Add the mixture to the remaining water and pour is the hot milk also. Add the honey and mix well.
In a frother, pour in the liquid and froth until as foamy as you wish.
Pour it in a glass and enjoy!!!
